Just Left Turns?

Growing up as an inner city girl, I never got any exposure to the racing community.  Something about people just driving a car and watching it take left turns for what seemed to be an ungodly amount of laps was never of any interest to me.

This year, that way of “just taking left turns all day” thinking completely changed for me.  I met a guy whom I adored from the beginning.  When he told me that he drove a race car, I sort of rolled my eyes and thought to myself, “Oh great.”

But his hobby turned into something for me too.  I quickly became interested in the logistics of racing, asking questions, and learning a lot.  I mean I’m still pretty much clueless to the racing industry and stick out like a sore thumb at a race event, but this is why I really like spending time with him at his events, to expand my way of thinking.  Who wants to be the girlfriend just “uh huh”ing their way though a relationship anyway?

Ren Michele Photography is now Renegade Imaging

I can’t believe that it’s been two years since I’ve started putting my little heart, soul, blood and tears into my passion for photography.  I started up with Ren Michele Photography as I just wanted to have a name and get some work done.  I didn’t really think it all through and lets face it my own name for my business was personal, albeit only to me.  It didn’t stand for what I thought my images were, or for what I thought my work was.

Now that I’ve been around for a while I know exactly what I want to get, and better yet, give from my passion.  I know (sort of) what road I want to take and how I need to get there.  But “Ren Michele Photography” didn’t really fit this road.  I mean yes, I could have kept it and just flown with it, but if you know me well, you know that I am not the sort of person who ever likes to “settle.”

Welcome Renegade.  Happy Birthday to you, here’s to a long and fabulous journey.
